Iberdrola’s solar plant gets financial backing from EIB, Spanish public bank

( July 16, 2019, 12:43 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Spanish energy company Iberdrola has signed a “green finance agreement” with the European Investment Bank and the Instituto de Crédito Oficial, to fund a photovoltaic solar plant under construction in the Extremadura region. The EIB will lend 145 million euros and the Spanish public bank up to 140 million euros, contributing to Iberdrola's total investment. "We are very pleased to support a project that will strengthen Spanish and European leadership in the transition to a low-emission economy.
