Early disclosure of antitrust evidence supported by EU court opinion

( May 5, 2022, 09:35 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Damages claimants don't have to wait for EU administrative procedures to wrap up before having the right to access documents from defendants, an Advocate General at the EU Court of Justice has said. The case stems from a dispute involving Czech rail incumbent České Dráhy and local rail operator RegioJet, whose court litigation had been stalled awaiting the outcome of the European Commission's probe. Judges wanted to know whether they could go ahead and order the submission of evidence, or would have to wait for the commission's decision.See the AG opinion in case C-57/21 RegioJet attached....
