CADE asks federal judge to reconsider whether IT-cartel case is time-barred

( March 10, 2016, 21:41 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Brazilian antitrust authority has asked a federal judge in Brasília to reconsider a decision that a cartel investigation into information technology companies was time-barred. The regulator claims that previous decisions in the same case refuted the argument that the case was time-barred. Federal Judge Kassio Marques accepted a request from one of the involved companies to suspend the case until the matter is reviewed in court. The agency opened the probe in July 2015, although an inquiry has been under way since 2005.
