Google CEO Pichai has unique knowledge of Chrome, say US 'Incognito' plaintiffs seeking guidance for renewed deposition request

( April 30, 2022, 01:06 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Google Chief Executive Sundar Pichai has unique knowledge about the Chrome browser and should be deposed in privacy litigation about alleged data collection from users in "Incognito" private browsing mode, plaintiffs told a US magistrate judge in a court filing. "Plaintiffs wish to renew their request to depose Mr. Pichai, so that the appropriate foundation is established, and Plaintiffs believe they can submit additional evidence further establishing that Mr. Pichai has unique and superior personal knowledge and that Plaintiffs have exhausted all less intrusive means of discovery," the plaintiffs told US Magistrate Judge Susan van Keulen, suggesting they might propose to depose Pichai after forthcoming depositions of Google marketing chief Lorraine Twohill and product manager Sabine Borsay.See attached document....
