CVS-Aetna settlement opposed by American Medical Association

( March 13, 2019, 22:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The American Medical Association has filed a brief opposing CVS Health's settlement with the US Department of Justice in the Aetna merger. Although the DOJ agrees the merger poses harm to competition and consumers in the market for Medicare Part D standalone plans, the association said, the evidence shows the divestiture to remedy the issue will reduce competition in that market rather than restore it.
