​CCI says no abuse of dominance by government department, Tata Consultancy Services

( December 22, 2014, 06:43 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Competition Commission of India has decided not to further investigate allegations of abuse of dominance against the Excise, Entertainment and Luxury Tax Department of the government of Delhi and Tata Consultancy Services, an information technology service company. Tata Consultancy Services was accused of not incorporating an invention into a tracking system that the company developed for the government to prevent illicit liquor businesses. The CCI said the government department didn’t fit the definition of an enterprise in the Competition Act and Tata Consultancy wasn’t in a dominant position in the relevant market.The full statement is attached....
