Oracle says it will limit investigation of prospective jurors to publicly available information

( March 8, 2016, 23:25 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Oracle said in a filing to US District Judge William Alsup that it will confine its investigation of prospective jurors to publicly available information, and will not attempt to contact third parties or send social media connection requests to jurors' Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn or other social media accounts. "Social media searches should be limited to searches that will not result in any communication (including system-generated communications) to jurors or prospective jurors," Oracle told Alsup, who has been worried about the level of investigation Google and Oracle will pursue before their forthcoming copyright trial over the Android operating system....
