States AGs oppose CRT settlement release

( March 8, 2016, 20:22 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Thirteen state attorneys general have filed a statement with a federal court overseeing a price-fixing case involving cathode ray tubes to oppose the litigation release included in $541.75 million in settlements with various CRT manufacturers. The AGs, whose states don't have laws allowing for indirect purchaser suits, said the settlements would give their citizens no damages but would nonetheless release the companies from any future claims. The statement was filed under the Class Action Fairness Act on behalf of the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.See document below....
