China to publish new judicial interpretations for civil antitrust lawsuits soon, senior judge says

( February 22, 2024, 08:33 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: China will soon release its new set of judicial interpretations governing civil antitrust lawsuits, Tao Kaiyuan, vice president of the Supreme People's Court, told a press conference today. The document will contain about 50 articles, covering a range of topics from procedural issues and the definition of relevant markets to the determination of monopolistic agreements and abuse of dominance, as well as civil liabilities, He Zhonglin, deputy chief judge of the top court's intellectual property tribunal, said in the conference. A draft of the revised judicial interpretations were released for public consultation in November 2022.Excerpts of the transcript follow....
