UK regulatory antitrust concurrency is ‘positive,’ CMA reports

( April 27, 2022, 11:06 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Concurrency arrangements in the regulated sectors have resulted in "positive outcomes" from a "joined-up" approach between the UK antitrust authority and its peers, the Competition and Markets Authority's chief executive has said. The CMA has published its annual report on concurrency, whereby competition powers are used by sectoral regulators. Andrea Coscelli noted that the regulators' work this year had a backdrop of increasing concerns about the cost of living, following economic shocks caused by the global Covid-19 pandemic and the invasion of Ukraine.Statement follows....
