Singapore antitrust watchdog says chicken distributors colluded to fix prices, share markets

( March 8, 2016, 08:32 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Competition Commission of Singapore has issued a proposed infringement decision against 13 fresh chicken distributors for engaging in anticompetitive conduct in the supply of fresh chicken products in the city-state. A commission investigation found that from at least 2007 to 2014, the distributors had engaged in discussions on prices, coordinated their price increases, and made agreements to not compete for each other’s customers. The parties have six weeks from the receipt of the proposed decision to make representations to the regulator....
