Privacy settlement with Twitter, Instagram, Yelp, other apps gets initial approval

( July 6, 2017, 17:52 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: A $5.3 million privacy settlement with Twitter, Instagram, Yelp and Foursquare Labs has been preliminarily approved by a San Francisco federal judge. The settlement resolves class action claims that the mobile apps violated federal and state privacy laws by uploading contact lists from users' iPhones without permission. Gowalla, Kik Interactive, Foodspotting and Kong Technologies were also parties to the settlement.Please see order below....
