Gastrade deal clearance decision published by EU Commission

( April 22, 2022, 18:44 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The European Commission today issued the text of its decision last year to approve plans by Hellenic Gas Transmission System Operator (Desfa), Asimina-Eleni Copelouzou, DEPA, GasLog and Bulgartransgaz to jointly control Gastrade, the developer of a liquefied natural gas facility off the Greek coast. In November, the competition watchdog concluded that the deal involved no antitrust concerns because of the presence of competing infrastructure, in addition to Greek regulations controlling tariffs charged by LNG terminals and laying down access obligations.The public version of the decision is attached.
