Roompot gets EU Commission approval to buy Vacation Rental from Landal

( April 19, 2022, 10:09 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Roompot, a portfolio business of investment firm KKR, has won approval to buy Vacation Rental, the holiday-parks business of its rival Landal, the European Commission said today. Roompot will make the purchase through its Sandy HoldCo division. The commission reviewed the deal's impact on the relevant European markets outside the Netherlands and found that it didn't give rise to antitrust concerns, citing the presence of plenty of alternative holiday parks. The review regarding the transaction's effects on the relevant markets within the Netherlands was referred to the national competition agency in 2021, the commission said.Statement follows. ...
