Spanish Competition Authority: CNC fines Mediaset EUR15.6 mln for failure to implement commitments in Telecinco/Cuatro deal

The decision approved, with conditions, Telecinco's purchase of broadcaster Sociedad General de Television Cuatro by Telecinco. Among the shortcomings found, the company has not implemented a functional division between Publiespana and Publimedia, delayed renouncing acquisition rights, and included illegal clauses in contracts for the acquisition of audiovisual content.See the press release in the Spanish original below:...
