New Australian cyber security chief to be announced soon, Department of Home Affairs says

By Saloni Sinha ( February 12, 2024, 04:57 GMT | Insight) -- Australia will announce a new National Cyber Security Coordinator in the coming weeks to replace Darren Goldie, who has been away over a “workplace matter” since November 2023, the Department of Home Affairs has confirmed.  Australian lawmaker James Paterson raised the speculation from media sources suggesting that Michelle McGuinness, a senior member of the Australian Army, might be the next cyber security coordinator. The department did not confirm or deny the claim. A new National Cyber Security Coordinator will be announced in the coming weeks, the Department of Home Affairs has confirmed....
