​Singapore Competition Commission fines 11 freight forwarding companies for price fixing

( December 11, 2014, 06:45 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Competition Commission of Singapore said Thursday it has fined 11 freight forwarders and their Singapore subsidiaries a total of S$7,150,852 (US$5.5 million) for price fixing and sharing price and customer information. The companies entered into agreements to fix the security charges and fuel surcharges related to air freight forwarding services for shipments from Japan to Singapore. One of the 11 companies, DHL Global Forwarding, was granted full immunity under the regulator’s leniency program and another four received a discount.The full statement is attached....
