Development of forest management plans can be supported by Slovakia, EU Commission says

( April 12, 2022, 12:12 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Slovakia can provide support to develop forest management plans, the European Commission has said. It has cleared a 15.1 million-euro program that runs until the end of June. The support was originally approved in 2016 and prolonged in 2020 until the end of 2021. The country wants to re-introduce the support along with an 8.5 million-euro budget increase. The goal is to maintain and improve the condition of forests, promote their ecological, protective and recreational function, biodiversity and a healthy forest ecosystem, the commission said.Press release follows....
