Capio Privathospital faces Danish provisional GDPR fine

( February 1, 2024, 10:43 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Danish private hospital Capio is facing a provisional fine of no less than 1.5 million kroner (around 201,000 euros) for violating the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation, the national Data Protection Agency said. Following the investigation, the regulator said that Capio failed to comply with the GDPR’s principle of accountability by not supervising data processors adequately. The hospital couldn’t ensure lawful and secure processing of personal data, especially concerning sensitive information, the watchdog said.
