Chinese regulator to crack down on infringements of personal data in real estate brokerage sector

The violations include the illegal sale of property owners’ information by employees of Shanghai Dooioo Real Estate Agency; the illegal acquisition of homeowners’ details by a real estate agent in Wuxi, Jiangsu province; and the illicit purchase of homeowners’ personal data by an employee at Zhongshan Yufeng real estate consultancy in Guangdong.
