US intelligence agencies are buying location data from data brokers, Senator Wyden says

( January 25, 2024, 22:01 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: US Senator Ron Wyden of Oregon released documents that he said confirm the National Security Agency is buying Internet records about Americans’ location data from commercial data brokers, data that Wyden said can reveal which websites they visit and what apps they use. In a letter to the Director of National Intelligence, Wyden called on the administration to make intelligence agencies stop buying personal data that he said has been obtained illegally by data brokers.
