Luxembourg raises EUR41.3 million in 5G auction; awards spectrum to 4 operators

( July 22, 2020, 12:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Luxembourg has raised 41.3 million euros ($47.7 million) in its 5G spectrum auction, with four bidders securing spectrum for 700 MHz and 3,600 MHz frequencies. In the 77 MHz band, Luxembourg awarded Orange Communications Luxembourg, Post Luxembourg and Proximus Luxembourg two times 10 MHz each. In the 3,600 MHz band, Luxembourg awarded spectrum to the country’s three mobile network operators, with Post Luxembourg and Orange Communications Luxembourg obtaining 110 MHz each and Proximus Luxembourg acquiring 100 MHz. Luxembourg Online was the fourth winner, securing 10 MHz of 3,600 MHz spectrum.Statement below in French:...
