This new piece of kit in the European Commission's toolbox has great power, especially coupled with the DMA's threat to ban merger activity for companies found to be "systematically" flouting the law — which could be through as few as three non-compliance decisions over eight years.In the hoopla around EU negotiators' finalization of the Digital Markets Act to police online "gatekeepers," one particular aspect may give acquisitive tech giants particular pause for thought....
