Apple urges Supreme Court to deny Samsung iPhone design patent cert petition

( February 4, 2016, 15:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Apple has filed its response to Samsung's petition asking the US Supreme Court for certiorari, appealing the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit's upholding of design patent damages in the first patent and antitrust case between the smartphone giants. "Samsung’s effort to make this case seem certworthy depends on a made-up narrative in which Samsung, not Apple, is the innovator, despite the overwhelming evidence that Samsung copied the iPhone’s innovative design," Apple said in its brief. "While this litigation may be high-profile, it is legally unexceptional, and Samsung has shown no reason for this Court to prolong it."Please see attached Apple brief...
