Utilita Energy unsuccessful in appeal to UK’s CMA against capital buffer decision

( January 19, 2024, 08:56 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Utilita Energy has been unsuccessful in its appeal against a decision by the Gas and Electricity Markets Authority to introduce minimal capital requirements on suppliers. The company had asked the UK's Competition and Markets Authority to reduce the requirement for suppliers to retain a buffer of 115 pounds per customer to provide resilience against severe shocks. The CMA said GEMA’s decision “was not wrong on the basis of any of Utilita’s grounds of appeal.”Statement is attached....
