California Public Utilties Commission: Citation against ride-sharing internet startups Lyft, Uber and SideCar.

( November 14, 2012, 16:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The California Public Utilities Commission has issued $20,000 citations to internet based ride-sharing services Lyft, Uber and Sidecar for operating illegally. The CPUC says the ride-sharing services, which operate through the use of websites and mobile apps, must obtain operating authority from the CPUC so that the CPUC can ensure that the company is properly licensed and insured to carry commercial passengers.Please see attached document...
