Indian cabinet approves EU-India memorandum on semiconductors ecosystem

( January 18, 2024, 22:08 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Indian Cabinet approved the Memorandum of Understanding signed between India and the European Commission on Working Arrangements on Semiconductors Ecosystems under the framework of the EU-India Trade and Technology Council. The MoU, intended to strengthen the cooperation between India and European Union towards the enhancement of semiconductor for the advancement of Industries and digital technologies, was signed in November last year. The MoU may continue until both sides confirm that the objectives of the instrument have been achieved or until one side discontinues its participation, according to the statement issued by the Cabinet on Thursday. Statement from the Union Cabinet of India follows:...
