​Energy Holding loses Romanian antitrust fine appeal

( June 12, 2017, 14:28 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Court of Appeal in Bucharest has confirmed an approximately 2.8 million euro antitrust fine imposed on Energy Holding for its role in a cartel for electricity generation and trading. This is the second completed court case out of seven appeals currently before the court. In 2010, the country's antitrust watchdog imposed sanctions on Hidroelectrica and ten contractual partners for long-term electricity supply contracts.
