Continental Automotive Electronics, Continental Automotive Korea agree to plead guilty to bid-rigging of instrument panel clusters

( November 24, 2014, 20:43 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Continental Automotive Electronics and Continental Automotive Korea have agreed to plead guilty and pay a single $4 million criminal fine for bid-rigging of instrument panel clusters, the US Department of Justice announced. According to the one-count felony charge, the companies conspired to rig bids for instrument panel clusters sold to Hyundai and Kia. In addition to paying the fine, the companies have also agreed to assist the DOJ with its ongoing investigation into anticompetitive conduct in the automotive industry, the agency said.Release follows below:...
