Seguradoras Unidas escapes insurance-cartel fine in Portugal

( February 13, 2019, 11:32 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Insurance company Seguradoras Unidas has received full exemption from its duty to pay a fine for its role in a cartel regarding contracts for large business clients, Portugal's competition watchdog said today. Last year, the authority issued formal charges against Fidelidade, Lusitania, Multicare, Seguradoras Unidas and Zurich. Fidelidade and Multicare were fined a total of 12 million euros and the proceedings against Lusitania and Zurich are continuing, the watchdog said.Statement follows....
