Magazine-rental services fined EUR3 million in Germany for customer allocation

( February 13, 2019, 09:57 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Eight magazine-rental companies have been fined around 3 million euros by Germany's competition watchdog today for having entered into illegal customer-allocation agreements. The companies rent magazines to businesses such as doctors' offices and hairdressers, as well as private customers. Daheim Liefer-Service, which is active throughout the country, made a series of deals with local providers including Lesezirkel Brabandt LZ plus Media and Lesezirkel Media-Collection, the authority said, preventing price competition between the services.
