Solar energy deal cleared by Cofece, but parties were fined for failing to notify

( July 20, 2020, 17:16 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: EXI Solar's acquisition of a solar energy project in Mexico has been cleared, without conditions, by the national competition authority, according to a statement. The Federal Economic Competition Commission, or Cofece, however, fined the companies engaged in the deal, including EXI solar, BAS Projects Corporation, ESZ Holding KI and ESZ Holding KII, a total of 977,000 Mexican pesos ($43,274) because they failed to notify the transaction.See Cofece press release below (in English and Spanish)....
