Air France-KLM, Delta, Virgin win EU approval for Virgin Atlantic deal

( February 12, 2019, 16:15 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Air France-KLM, Delta Air Lines and Virgin Group have won unconditional EU approval for their restructuring of airline Virgin Atlantic. The deal would see Air France-KLM acquire a 31 percent stake of the airline from Richard Branson’s Virgin Group for 220 million pounds. It would also take joint control of Virgin Atlantic, alongside Virgin Group and Delta. The European Commission cleared the deal today, saying it raised “no competition concerns in the European Economic Area.”Statement follows....
