Hungarian school gets GDPR fine for unlawful processing of children's data

( January 16, 2024, 15:11 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Pitagorasz Educational Studio, a school in Hungary, has been fined 500,000 forint (1,300 euros) by the national privacy watchdog. The Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information found that the company unlawfully processed personal data of minors without a legitimate basis, violating the EU's General Data Protection Regulation. The violations included breach of data protection principles and failure to delete data upon withdrawal of consent, the regulator said.The decision is attached in Hungarian....
