India’s Competition Commission approves Shree Cement’s deal with Jaiprakash Associates

( November 19, 2014, 07:01 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Competition Commission of India, in an order dated Nov. 3, approved a proposed combination that involves the transfer of a cement grinding unit with a capacity of 1.5 million tons per annum at Panipat in Haryana owned by Jaiprakash Associates to Shree Cement. The CCI said the increase of Shree’s market share in the relevant market after the transaction is insignificant, thus the proposed combination isn't likely to have an appreciable adverse effect on competition in India.The full statement is attached....
