Cegeka, Entropia, Orange, Proximus and Telenet get provisional 5G usage rights in Belgium

( July 15, 2020, 16:24 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Telecom operators Cegeka, Entropia, Orange, Proximus and Telenet have been granted the provisional usage rights for the 3.6-3.8 GHz frequency band used for 5G, Belgian telecom regulator BIPT has said. BIPT said it can grant those rights under telecom legislation to start initial steps toward the deployment of 5G, despite a political deadlock on the 5G spectrum auctions.Statement follows in Dutch....
