Abbott-Alere South Korean antitrust review extended

( June 5, 2017, 21:32 GMT | Official Statement) -- Abbott Laboratories and Alere had their South Korean antitrust review extended by 90 days on April 20, Alere said Monday in a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. It is estimated that Korea will conclude its antitrust review by July 19. Abbott and Alere's merger deal also must still receive US and Canadian antitrust clearance. The companies expect the deal to close in the third quarter of 2017.Excerpt....
