UK opens review into future of pornography regulation, porn industry

( January 11, 2024, 00:01 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: A call for evidence in the UK asks law enforcement, pornography producers and the public to contribute to a review of the porn industry and its regulation commissioned by the government, six months after it was announced. The review intends to gain insight on the impact of porn, thoughts on how new technologies such as virtual reality and AI have changed pornography, and to determine gaps in current regulation. The criminal justice system is invited to explain the challenges it faces, and the industry to set out what it is doing to tackle the issues.
