T-Mobile, Sprint deal may close late in second quarter due to government shutdown, Sprint CEO says

( February 6, 2019, 22:47 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The timeline for T-Mobile and Sprint's deal may have been delayed by a few weeks by the partial shutdown of the federal government, and so the deal may close closer to the end of the second quarter, Sprint CEO Michel Combes said in town hall remarks to Sprint employees made public in a securities filing. "The shutdown has maybe postponed by a few weeks, so we are always told that the, let’s say the closing should occur in Q2," he said. "We were more leaning for the beginning of the quarter, that maybe now is more for the end of the quarter, but we remain more or less ballparked in the same type of timing." Combes also said that several Sprint leaders gave depositions at the Department of Justice and "that is now finished" so it is up to the DOJ to work on all the materials.Excerpt:...
