Dahua Technology, distributors fined for collusion in Poland

( January 10, 2024, 09:39 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Dahua Technology, one of Poland's largest manufacturers of electronic monitoring equipment — as well as several of its distributors, including Alkam Security, Alpol and Eltrox — have received fines totaling more than 37 million zloty ($9.3 million), for fixing prices and dividing up the market. The national competition authority said that Dahua had forced its distributors to stick to minimum prices and imposed a maximum on the rebates they could apply, and also discouraged distributors from competing for installation projects. Seven managers who allowed the law breach to take place have also been fined, UOKiK said.Statement follows (in Polish)....
