Dutch importers lose appeal of renewed tariffs on Malaysian iron and steel fasteners at top EU court

( January 11, 2024, 10:24 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Dutch companies Eurobolt, Fabory and ASF Fischer today lost their legal challenge to reimposed anti-circumvention duties on Malaysian iron and steel fasteners at the EU's top court. In a judgment delivered this morning, the bloc's highest judiciary rejected all the pleas submitted by the three companies as unfounded. It ruled, among other things, that “by re-imposing the anti-dumping duties through the regulation at issue, the European Commission maintained the protection of the EU industry, [but without] imposing on the appellants any obligation that went beyond the obligations resulting from [the initial decision].”The judgment is attached. Case reference is C-517/22. ...
