Trump executive order says US will sanction corrupt Venezuelan individuals, businesses

( November 1, 2018, 22:32 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: US President Donald Trump issued an executive order saying that Venezuelan businesses, officials, business executives will be subject to US sanctions if the US Treasury Department finds them to be corrupt "in light of actions by the Maduro regime and associated persons to plunder Venezuela's wealth for their own corrupt purposes." Per the order, Venezuelan assets in the US are to be frozen if the people or businesses owning them are engaged in "any transaction or series of transactions involving deceptive practices or corruption." Sanctioned individuals would be barred from entering the US.Executive order follows in full....
