Whirlpool files safeguard petition with ITC in Samsung, LG washing machine dumping cases

( May 31, 2017, 15:12 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Whirlpool has filed a safeguard petition with the US International Trade Commission asking it to take action against Samsung and LG for dumping washing machines on the domestic market, irrespective of the country in which the appliances were made. Whirlpool said though the ITC previously determined that Samsung and LG were selling washers in the US at below fair market values, the companies twice relocated their production facilities to different foreign countries to circumvent the imposed remedies.Statement follows....
