Ex-KT chief's embezzlement case remanded to Seoul High Court

Lee headed the company between 2009 and 2013 and was indicted in 2014 for allegedly using company money for personal ends and causing losses to the business of some 10 billion won due to misconduct. Both a district court and appeal court acquitted Lee of the malpractice charge but ruled differently on the embezzlement allegations. The first trial found him not guilty, but the Seoul High Court imposed a two-year suspended sentence for embezzlement. The Supreme Court ruled that there was no clear evidence that he had created a slush fund before remanding the case....
