THL's play for Apollo raises motorhome-rental competition concerns in New Zealand

( March 10, 2022, 23:04 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Global tourism operator THL Group's planned acquisition of Apollo Tourism & Leisure has raised concerns for New Zealand's competition regulator over the supply of motorhome rental services. In a statement of issues published today, the New Zealand Commerce Commission said it was also continuing to consider whether the proposed acquisition would substantially lessen competition due to an increase in the potential for coordinated behavior between the merged company and its rivals. Today's statement follows preliminary issues published in January. A decision by the Commerce Commission is due April 14.
