Northern California real estate investors plead not guilty to bid rigging, fraud
By Amy Miller ( November 10, 2014, 21:42 GMT | Insight) -- Five Northern California real estate investors have pleaded not guilty to criminal charges of bid rigging and mail fraud at public foreclosure auctions. Joseph Giraudo pleaded not guilty to charges of participating in conspiracies to rig bids and defraud mortgage holders at a hearing Monday before US Magistrate Judge Jacqueline Scott Corley in San Francisco. Co-defendants Raymond Grinsell, Kevin Cullinane, James Appenrodt and Abraham Farag pleaded not guilty at a hearing before Corley on Friday.
