8 Philippine property developers comply with enforcement advisory on Internet exclusivity

( March 3, 2022, 03:20 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Eight Philippine property developers have complied with enforcement advisories from the country's antitrust regulator regarding Internet exclusivity concerns. The Philippine Competition Commission said the eight — which includes major developers such as Avida Land, Amaia Land, DMCI Homes, and Vista Residences — have opened their properties to other Internet-service providers after receiving enforcement advisories, which are issued to give companies the chance to correct their actions and avoid prosecution. The regulator has received several Internet-exclusivity complaints following the 27.11 million peso ($526,000) antitrust fine paid by Urban Deca Condominiums in 2019 for its exclusivity deal. The full statement is attached. ...
