Judge preliminarily approves Panasonic, NEC settlement with indirect purchasers in optical disk drive case

( January 19, 2016, 23:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: US District Judge Richard Seeborg has granted preliminary approval to indirect purchasers’ agreement with Panasonic and NEC to settle claims that the companies conspired to fix the prices of optical disk drive products. The agreement provides the class with $16.5 million from Panasonic if class certification is granted and $5 million if certification is denied.
