Top 10 Russian financial institutions sanctioned by US

( February 24, 2022, 19:37 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The US Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control has imposed new sanctions on the core infrastructure of the Russian financial system, including the top 10 Russian financial institutions and nearly 80 percent of all banking assets in Russia, in addition to sanctions placed Feb. 22. OFAC intends the sanctions to disrupt and block Russia's ability to raise capital for acts of aggression. “Our actions, taken in coordination with partners and allies, will degrade Russia’s ability to project power and threaten the peace and stability of Europe," said Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen.See statement below....
