Chile's FNE asks competition tribunal to ratify settlement accords with food delivery platforms

( December 13, 2023, 22:10 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Chilean competition authority has asked the competition tribunal to approve settlement agreements with online food delivery app platforms Uber Eats, Rappi and PedidosYa in a case involving exclusivity clauses with restaurants, according to a statement. The Fiscalia Nacional Económica, or FNE, said the platforms' exclusivity clauses with restaurants have limited the presence of other players in the market. It also said Uber Eats, Rappi, and PedidosYa prohibited some restaurants from offering lower prices on competing apps or their own platforms. The companies have agreed to cease the anticompetitive conduct for at least three years.FNE's press release and accords follow in Spanish....
